The project of designing the service spaces of Tah-e Bagh-e Mohammad Restaurant started after the establishment of the takeaway branch of this complex in Isfahan’s City Center Food Court. The service spaces were to be set at a corner of the garden of this restaurant located in Dorcheh District.
The idea to design and create a framework within the border between architecture and landscaping, as the basis of this project, was formed following the analysis of the experience of attendance at alley-garden spaces .The overall structure of the project – not only in terms of interacting with the context but also mixing and merging with it – was formed as cuts of nature, sky, and vegetation rather than a mere presence in the garden. A metaphorical pattern of the temporary presence in the garden was created through changing patterns of light and shadow, breeze, sky, and vegetation; a unique experience of the presence at different hours of the day that was achieved by employing dynamic forms of sunshine and shadow changes.
The use of rusty iron in crimson bestows the structure a natural sensation and expresses the architecture not as an independent building, but an organic part of the landscape around.
In line with this, a handmade architecture was created through minimizing the elements of an official architecture, load-bearing walls were used for the structure, and air current and natural breeze were employed instead of artificial ventilation.
