A Boundary Between City and Neighborhood
The placement of over one hundred residential units in the vicinity of the busiest square and social center of Isfahan city, alongside elements such as the Grand Mosque, recreational and commercial complexes, and administrative facilities around Ghadir Square, inherently presents a complex issue. How can a residential complex establish its connections with urban centers while simultaneously being a tranquil and pleasant neighborhood, integrating seamlessly into the surrounding residential fabric?
How can an architectural project solve complex urban issues and act as a boundary between the bustle of the city and the seclusion of the neighborhood?
How can a structure be at the scale of a city and at the same time a unit at the scale of a neighborhood?
How can the section of a project provide a solution for complex urban issues?
On one hand, social life and urban space, and on the other hand, neighborhood, residence, and neighborliness infiltrate into a field at the heart of the project. Here, the boundaries between functions dissolve, and the project becomes flexible. Functions interpenetrate, taking on a fresh color of communal and useful, public and private, commercial and residential definitions.
